Ember is the child of a fisherman named Jala. Every day, Ember helps her father catch fish and sell them at Crab Market. But one night, she dreamed of a golden fish that invited her to journey far out to sea. The fish said that there was “another world” waiting for her, a world of enchantment, the beauty of the ocean, and rare fish awaiting Ember in the waters beyond the horizon.

After experiencing that strange dream, Ember told her father and the villagers of Kampung Ikan Bandeng about it. However, no matter how serious Ember looked as she told the story, no one believed her. They said Ember was too naive and laughed at her.

Exhausted from being relentlessly mocked by the villagers, Ember resolved to sail away and go beyond the horizon to prove her dream was real. She wanted to reach the ocean’s splendor he had dreamed of and catch the rare fish the sea had promised. She wanted to make the villagers eat their words and make her father, Jala, proud.

Before leaving, Ember asked her father for permission. At first, Jala refused. But seeing that Ember’s resolve was firm and the fire of determination burning in her eyes, her father finally allowed her to go. Ember thanked him and promised to return at least once a week, bringing home rare fish to sell.

At last, Ember prepared to cross the ocean using her father’s boat. Just before she departed, Jala stopped her and gave Ember his fisherman’s jacket. After receiving the jacket, Ember said her farewell and set off to explore the vast sea.

What adventures will Ember face? What wonders will the ocean reveal to her? What rare fish will bite her hook?

Heya! This is my first game ive ever published, even though is might seem a bit rough around the edges, mainly because of the time constraints and we're still learning to use some of the tools for team work; Still! huge thanks to my team- they did their part wonderfully and was able to make this game! This game was made for an assignment for finals preparation, so please check out the other games submission in the game jam this was submitted in!
